No, not boyfriend jeans. Literally men’s jeans.
Okay, I’m going to be honest. The only reason why I even thought of buying a pair of mens jeans was because of the length. I’m 5’9 and pretty much 80% legs, so it’s really hard to find jeans that are super long, fit right, and don’t cost $200. It’s impossibly to find vintage high waisted jeans at thrift stores anymore, but these actually fit okay for being “regular” Levi Jeans. I was planning on getting them altered to my size. However, when I tried them on, I actually liked how they looked (despite it being 2 or 3 sizes too large).
I want to try new things in 2019, and coming out of my tight-jeans-since-middle school comfort zone is definitely one that I’ve enjoyed. Sometimes, you need to let your booty cheeks breathe, hunnay!
Here is a look to try if you are also interested in styling men’s jeans. Everything, except for the top that was purchased at Hollister top, was thrifted. Here we goooo:
Earrings: Flea Market / (Brand Unknown) $3
Blazer: Thrifted / New York & Company $8
Tank Top: Hollister / $15
Jeans: Thrifted / Levi’s Men’s $10
Purse: Thrifted / Banana Republic $4
Shoes: Thrifted / Jennifer Moore $4
Because the jeans are a little bit baggy, I wanted to balance things out. You want to find jeans that are 2 or 3 sizes bigger. Pair it with a tight top (cropped or not).
I threw on a slightly large blazer to not only give this outfit some sophistication, but hide the bagginess of the booty area (lmfao). Because it is Spring/Summer season, and I’m obsessed with colors lately, I wanted to add a pop of fun. So I paired it with these cute lime green heels. Chunky sneakers would def go with this outfit too! Top it off with chunky gold hoops and a cool bag…
THEY NOT READY FOR THE SLAYAGE, SIS.
